Due to demand in Germany for the first EP that was released in 1982 the band reformed in 2013, its new incarnation features new band members J Patrick McCosar on guitar, Mario Barrios on vocals and Ken Welsh on bass.. They've began making waves in Orange County with their focus on heading back to early roots Heavy Metal and Rock Music. August Redmoon was also featured in the documentary "Inside L.A. Metal" which premiered in Hollywood June 1st 2014, and Inside Metal: The LA Metal Scene Explodes in June of 2016, in which many Redmoon tunes were used as the soundtrack.

In 2015, HNE Recordings, under Cherry Red/Universal released Heavy Metal USA, featuring all the classic August Redmoon music of the Original "Fools Are Never Alone" Album, plus a few bonus tracks.
